What is it?
Electric rail travel card (Sõidukaart) is an electronic contact-less smart card, on which you can download money, buy season tickets, and settle on the train.
How Sõidukaart is working?
Sõidukaart can be used both on the train with attendant if you have downloaded the money before through internet. On trcharged before through the Internet.
Where can you get Sõidukaart?
You can buy Sõidukaart on the train from the attendant.
How much Sõidukaart costs?
Sõidukaart price is 2.50 EUR. This amount covers the cost of card production.
Where can charge money to my Sõidukaart?
You can charge your card via the Internet at pilet.elektriraudtee.ee and on the train with attendats.
How is the charging process done?
You can charge the minimum amount of 10 EUR. Important! Money charged on the card can be used only on trains (can not be used in environments pilet.elektriraudtee.ee to buy railway tickets).
Where can I buy tickets for Sõidukaart?
You can buy period tickets through Internet Bank from pilet.elektriraudtee.ee. 1-way tickets and Day tickets are sold only on train.
How can i use Sõidukaart on trains?
On trains you must always show your Sõidukaart to the attendant who checks the passenger's ticket right there. If you do not have the nessesary tickets on your Sõidkaart you must buy the new one.
Where can i see the transactions made with my Sõidukaart?
Sõidkaart's transaction history can be viewed pilet.elektriraudtee.ee environment.
Why aren't travel card transactions reflected on the internet until the next day?
Ticketing system is built in a way in which information on travel card account balance and/or season ticket availability is stored in a Sõidkaart and an online database. This synchronization between the two storage media (data exchange) takes place two times a day: morning, from 5:00am to 8:00am, and lunch from 10:00 to 12:00. So if the transactions are done through pilet.elektriraudtee.ee environment after 10:00am, then the transaction will be seen on train for the next morning 8:00am at the latest.
Important! The same situation applies in the opposite direction (transactions made on train in the environment pilet.elektriraudtee.ee).
Is the Sõidukaart going to be the only ticket?
Electric railway Sõidukaar is the main ticket, but with season tickets an alternative is ID card, and an alternative for single tickets is the paper ticket.
How long the Sõidukaart will be valid?
The card will not expire, Sõidukaart is valid until it is used.
Can only one person use the travel card?
Electric rail Sõidkaart is a ticket holder, which means that there can br multiple products on Sõidkaart, and it is allowed.
Important!
Lost, stolen or damaged cards will no be substituted by Electric Railways Ltd. They also do not return the money from the travel card or compensate the acquisition cost of the card.
Electric rail travel card is not personal.
AS Electric Railway has the right to unilaterally modify the conditions of accreditation, notificating the public for a reasonable period of time.
With the acquisition of the card the user confirms that he is familiar with the guidelines and conditions of card usage.
